NPR has a nice Spoon show available for streaming. The songs in the set are arranged in order of the album they appear on: starts with some a song from Telephono then a couple from A Series Of Sneaks, then a few from Girls Can Tell, then a few from Kill The Moonlight, etc., up to the their latest record (of which they play 8 of the 10 songs). When they get to the encores, they pick a few from their two last records and throw in a somewhat obscure Paul Simon cover.
The sound is great, the songs come across well. Very nice. Makes a nice "best of". (there's a bunch of other good shows on the site, too).
I spent Saturday AM recording it and chopping it up into individual songs for iTunes.
What tool do you use to record streams? Any hints or tips?
my sound card/driver has a feature that lets you record “What U Hear” – it takes the output and sticks it on the input. then i used Audacity to save the input and chop it up.
