    Looks as if it’s going to cost more to decommission these things than it cost to build them. If the gummint would stop fooling around with this shit we’d have the money to mine asteroids. Ugh.

      definitely. and we’ve been at it for a while.

      still, it’s probably better this way than the way we did it in the 60’s:

      During Operation Cut Holes and Sink ‘Em (CHASE) from 1967 to 1970, thousands of tons of unwanted chemical warfare agents and ammunition were disposed of by loading them onto old ships that then were intentionally sunk at sea.
