Dealing with real-life, non-scammy, mortgage lenders over email is a challenge these days.

It’s like a game of telephone. You/the Mrs. to architect to general contractor to subs to subs of subs. Of course, one would think that this is why there are plans and contracts, but who reads those anyway?!!?
Do you have an estimated move-in date?
after weeks of hearing we’d be closing next week, we scheduled a mover for the week after next (13th). then, as instructed by the builder’s agent, we started the mortgage conversion process, only to learn that the builder can’t possibly get the required appraisal done this week. and since the mortgage process depends on that appraisal (as well as the builder getting all the subs to tell us how much we owe for areas where we went over our allowances), it’s all on-hold right now.
so… who knows.
luckily, not having sold our current house yet, we’re completely flexible about the moving date. we just need to be able to schedule a mover (and i have to schedule time off from work).
but… it’s close. very close.
