Sandy's Politics

On second thought. Wow.... that's a lot of flooding, NYC. Stay safe.

Sullivan gathers predictions.

Here's mine:

Wingnut governors, knowing that people tend to lump all government together, will drag their feet ever-so-slightly in their responses to the hurricane: not enough to hurt anyone, just enough to leave a bad taste in people's mouths - leave some trees lying around for a couple of days longer than they could, for example. The noise machine will work to turn that dissatisfaction against Obama, FEMA, and the federal government in general - because, remember, wingnuts hate FEMA. And if slow response means a few Democratic-leaning voters can't get to the polls, well, then that's too bad. too.

... no, not quite serious. Just giving the old cynicism a good crank on a stormy Monday.
