Our wise leader, Obama, has made a tough and prudent decision. He has proposed freezing Federal worker pay. This step, while a drag for Federal workers, would save this country a lot of money.
How much money?
$2,000,000,000. Two billion dollars in 2011 alone.
And that's a lot of money.
Why, it's enough to fund the Department of Defense for an entire day.
And, as a bonus, Congressional Republicans (and nobody else) love the idea.

Obama: Huh. Nothing. Let’s try pre-emptively compromising on tax cuts for the wealthy. *throws it in*
GOP Woodchipper: Zrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrppppp.
Obama: Gosh, that didn’t work either. What else we got? Watered down healthcare reform? Worth a try.
GOP Woodchipper: Zrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrppppp.
Obama: Maybe this here woodchipper isn’t willing to give anything back but chewed up junk. Nah, gotta be something that will work….
