Artist Statement
My work explores the relationship between the universality of myth and vegetarian ethics. With influences as diverse as Kierkegaard and Andy Warhol, new variations are synthesised from both simple and complex narratives. Ever since I was a pre-adolescent I have been fascinated by the theoretical limits of relationships. What starts out as contemplation soon becomes corrupted into a carnival of defeat, leaving only a sense of decadence and the dawn of a new understanding. As subtle forms become reconfigured through frantic and repetitive practice, the viewer is left with a clue to the edges of our future.
