A male dobsonfly. That thing was at least four inches long. They have some serious jaws and will bite, if provoked. But a male like this has a hard time of it because the huge things sticking out of his face (his lady-grabbers) kinda get in the way.
That was yesterday.
Today, it rained a bit so I went down to the river to see if I could get any pics of the fog. I missed the fog. And as soon as I got down to the water, Mr. Water Moccasin Northern Watersnake swam up to say Hi.
I immediately left.
