It wasn't long ago (5 months, in fact) that I told you about our purchase of the adorable little Roku device which allows us to stream movies from Netflix. Well...
Today I'm cruising around Amazon, looking at Blu-Ray players and I find this one (LG BD550) for $152. That's a lot cheaper than any of the players I saw the last time I looked. And it's not even the cheapest one on Amazon - it's more than twice the price of the cheapest I found. So that's cool.
It also does everything the Roku box does.
It sucks how electronic companies keep you from ever feeling satisfied.

We got a “Wii” box recently, and netflix sent us a disc last week which lets us stream their movies on the Wii. Apparently there is also a way of getting Hulu streams on the Wii, I have not quite figured it out yet — you run a server on a computer that’s on the same LAN as the Wii.
Speaking of Blu-Ray, I got a Sony Blu-Ray from Costco and returned it. It can’t resume playing after being powered-off (you have to start again from the beginning, go through the promos, then do a chapter search.)
I need my resume function!

You run the software on another computer on your home network with the xbox, and it streams flash video to the wii. The version for wii is currently in beta, but should go full version soon
