I posted a random 10 last night: http://readin.com/blog/?id=1964
(Isn’t it “Penelope’s Angles”?) Wow, I would never have expected a Mrs. Robinson cover from RH/ I’m not even sure who Shear is. Look forward to checking that out when I get home. Here’s the song that’s running through my head all day today: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wonPmOhglhs
Penelope’s Angles oops.
among other things, Shear was the original host of MTV Unplugged – back when it had a host, and was actually worth watching. i don’t think Robyn ever did an Unplugged, tho. not sure where this clip is from – i just found it on Napster, years ago.
Napster? Shame on you for killing music!
The Asking Tree only records one instance of RH playing “Mrs. Robinson”, at an in-store appearance with Mike Mills in Austin, in 93. But it’s not at all complete…

i don’t hear Mills in there – he’s got a pretty distinctive voice. but there are easily three singers, so maybe he’s there too. i think the original tag on the song said Peter Buck and Jules Shear. but AFAIK, Buck doesn’t sing at all.
so, i have no actual evidence of anyone but Robyn (can’t fake his voice). the other peopel? beats me. i just assume Shear because that’s what the MP3 tags say.

music was asking for it.
