Cris, the honorable contestant, declined to count songs that he looked-up. That would've put him well into the lead. But, as it stands, Paige wins! And what does she win? Well, this is a special treat, because Paige has won...a night on the town with the lovely Mrs. Cleek!
Night and town T.B.D..

Congratulations!
excellent! i love nights on the town with mrs. cleek. i almost said joy division for the bowie cover. wonder if that would have given me half credit–aren’t they the same band, basically?
Joy Division : New Order as Bauhaus : Love And Rockets
extremely fun contest, cleek. well played, paige!!
I like the way you set this one up because everyone could play the full set of tunes without knowing or worrying about if someone else got them already.
the thing of bands showing up as the original artist and also as a cover artist was some tasty lagniappe!
So, what’s everyone’s favourite cover version? I can think of a few:
1. Radiohead – Nobody Does It Better (orig. Carly Simon).
2. Jeff Buckley – Hallelujah (orig. Leonard Cohen).
3. Gillian Welch – Black Star (orig. Radiohead).
4. Girls Aloud – Teenage Dirtbag (orig. Wheatus – my wife and daughter insisted I include this).
I actually have a whole CD of Beatles covers that was on the cover of Uncut magazine 8 or 9 years ago (it’s called ‘Why Don’t We Do It In The Road?’ and it’s aces).
that’s a tough one… there are just too many great ones out there.
Jimi’s “Watchtower” or the Talking Heads’ “Take Me To The River” seem pretty tough to beat, though.
I always liked Eddie Vedder’s version of “Masters of War”, not sure it’s a true “cover” though.
I’m so psyched I nailed that Stevie Ray Vaughn cover. Man. I must have listened to that clip 14 times. Great game. Favorite cover… ever? Gloria. Patti Smith.
