Hey, more big fun from cleek!

4.19 for me. But I have my glasses on.

Hey, apropos of nothing, here’s some more fun. This is a clip from a local gig I was on last Saturday. Some guy in the audience brought his didgeridoo to the club (?!?!) so we had him sit in. The tune is Tom Waits’ “Jockey Full Of Bourbon”.

The clip is from a cell phone.

    Damned if I know.

The gig was in Salem, MA, which is the next town over from me. Salem gets kind of trippy in October because of Halloween, lots of colorful folks from all over come to visit and let their particular freak flags fly.

But I think Mati Natti is local, he sits in a lot with another local guy who does live laptop stuff.

Oddly enough, the didj was more or less dead on in tune in D, so we had him jump again later in the set on another tune we did in that key. It was a fun night.

We have another clip up somewhere from one of our guys featuring a guy named Chris, who is locally known as “Dancing Guy”. He has this weird gyroscope thing he does, it’s like Deadhead dancing in slow motion. If I can track it down I’ll pass it along.

    Thanks –

    Hey Rob –

Cool. Do you remember where you went and what you saw there?

Halloween has been Disneyfied a bit in the last few years — the city realized it had a diamond in the rough, and has kind of made it a little more family friendly. A good thing, on the whole, but a little less wild.

Back in ’94 I think it might have been a little hairier.
