This, and Something Else, are the big hit songs from an upcoming album of mine called "Princeton Studies". In this case, it's a study in slowness, the harmonic minor scale, and transitions via augmented chords to other keys (and back).
That could very well be part of a musical score for a movie depicting some sort of existential desolation or another.

How did you come by the strings accompaniment in the background bed of the song?
Those strings (and the bass) in ‘Something Else’ are a ‘virtual instrument’, controlled by MIDI, in Reaper. Basically a fancy playable set of samples. The (six!) guitar tracks are real, though.
‘Harm’ is all real.
