Let’s say a mid-sized American city elects an alt-right, fascist, white nationalist Mayor who declares the city government an ally of Vladimir Putin’s fascist gummint. Let’ say they start handing over all of the immigrant population in their fair city to ICE. Let’s say the mp/republican gummint in Washington DC says nothing about this development and, in fact, makes trolling statements about how so-called sanctuary cities in the U.S. should heed this development.
Let us further stipulate that the voters who installed the white nationalist gummint in their fair city, when faced with calls for standing down, claim they’ve broken no laws and in fact the Constitution permits all of the above.
