Now that Anheuser-Busch is going to be owned by a Belgian company, that leaves Sam Adams as America's largest brewer.
Here are the top 10:
1. Anheuser-Busch
2. Miller - owned by South African Breweries
3. Coors - owned by Molson
4. Pabst - contracts all its brewing to Miller
5. Boston Beer Co - Sam Adams, etc.
6. D. G. Yuengling and Son
7. Sierra Nevada
8. Gambrinus (TX) - Pete's, Shiner, etc.
9. New Belgium - Fat Tire, etc.
10. High Falls - Genesee, J.W. Dundees, etc.
We are now a nation of micro-brews!

“We are now a nation of micro-brews!”
Revenge is sweet: A-B, for a long time, used a not-so-subtle strategy of dealing w/ the smaller breweries by simply by them out.
A-B did that to my college beer, Rolling Rock, very popular in Pittsburgh, where I went to college — egads, going on 25 years now.
Three cheers to No. 6 on the list: Yuengling, my beer of choice now, very big here — everywhere on tap — in Newark, Delaware — and the nation’s oldest brewery.
MoJo — a cable channel — has two very good drinking shoes: “Three Sheets” and “Beer Nutz.”
Zane Lampley tours the world in Three Sheets in search of local drinking flavor. His most recent stop was Moscow. My wife, from St. Petersburg, and I love it.
Cleek, if you ever get the chance, visit Russia. Most. Beautiful. Women. In the world.
We’re talking inner and outer beauty, too.
Two good drinking shows, not shoes.
I am sober.
i wish i liked Yuengling, since it’s cheap and ubiquitous, here in NC. but i find it too sweet or syrupy or something… i find it gets nasty after one or two.
Russia ? i’ll admit… that was not on our list of places to visit.
