Wisdom from coastal North Carolina

When you park your car at the hotel, check to make sure you're not on or near an anthill. And if you do park on one, you'd better hope you don't have any derelict starlight mints hiding under your seats. A three hour drive back home with a car full of little black ants is a total drag. It would be much more of a drag if they were fire ants.

And here's some related wisdom from rural Minnesota.

I sat on a red ant nest once. It was in a dead stump by the pond on my uncle’s old place. By the time I understood what was going on, my pants were full of them.

    Good lord, did that suck.

    Thanks –
