A friend of mine on Facebook liked a post by one of those American Chopper motorbike sites today, that went along the lines of “come and take my guns if you dare.” I decided to read some of the post comments and… holy… fucking… Jesus… these people are fucking lunatics Cleek. Swivel-eyed crazy bastards. Proper certifiable nutjobs. If people weren’t posting vitriolic hate aimed at Obama they were on the usual conspiracy theory trip about the liberal plot to stage massacres so they can take their guns (using UN troops apparently.)
It frightens me. And I’m three thousand miles away.

yeah, they only comfort there is that they talk a lot tougher than they act. they talk like they’re all gonna grab their guns and start shooting their way to political victory. but so far they’ve mostly been content to just vote for the morons who refuse to do anything about gun violence. they’re all whipped into perpetual fear of losing their precious guns by the NRA (who knows that keeping them worried about losing their guns makes them rush out and buy more guns – https://theintercept.com/2015/12/03/mass-shooting-wall-st/). children.
