Fast running is as deadly as sitting on couch

Too much exercise really can kill you, scientists have discovered, after finding runners who speed along at 7mph or more are doing themselves more harm than good.

A study of 1,098 runners found that those who ran the fastest were nine times more likely to die prematurely within 12 years than those who enjoyed a more sedate pace of around 5mph for two or three times a week.

i don’t. i really loved them – i loved having that contact with the ground and they really helped with my form. but i think they messed up my right arch. i got sloppy with my form when i started running in the early AM, when i was kindof stiff and not quite awake. and within a couple of weeks i had done some real damage . so, after 18 months off, i’m back to standard shoes now.
