Following Margaret Thatcher’s death, critics of the former prime minister have spearheaded a campaign that has seen Judy Garland’s version of Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead reach No. 8 in the iTunes charts, No. 1 in the Amazon best-selling MP3s chart and look set to nab a place in the official Top 10, possible the coveted No. 1 slot.
Heh.
And that's all I'll say about Thatcher, because I don't know anything about her.

It is really a shame that the organizers of this event did not use the opportunity to reacquaint the public with the far-superior 1960s interpretation of the song by the Fifth Estate. The Renaissance-dance break in the middle of that version is, in my opinion, absolute genius.
groovy!
