What do you think of the border color? I can't decide.
I have been given a new role at work (on top of all my existing work obviously, lol) as the new UX expert. I am meant to mock up all our new mobile apps and kick arse if other do not adhere to our new style guide, which I am in the process of writing.
If there is a sentence that describes how a 2013 website looks it’s simple.
“Fifty Shades of Grey”
Can’t decide on a colour scheme? Then don’t use any colour at all. Problem solved. Seriously, look at any Google site. There will be one or two coloured buttons – red and blue – and that’s it. Otherwise it’s white panels on a grey background with grey buttons, a thin font and a dark, preferably black, header bar.
So grey is fine. Slightly darker might make the central panel (where all the action is) a bit more prominent but basically it ticks all the boxes for a modern looking site. No colour, it’s flat and I don’t see any round corners. Good job.
