Ticketmaster Confirmation

Like, wow. Somehow I just grabbed front-row, center seats to an upcoming Bob Dylan show.

I'd better start listening to things he's done post-1975!

Listen to World Gone Wrong (93, I think) — it is one of the best Dylan albums ever. Love and Theft is real good. I’ve liked recent stuff that I listen to but none of it has really stuck in my head yet.

I had 5th row seats at a Dylan show in, I think 2008. I couldn’t wait. Wouldn’t you know it, a drunk middle aged woman 2 seats down from me stood up and danced, waving her arms around, just being a jerk. It wasn’t even good dancing. Just annoying as hell. Can you believe it, she was with her husband a 2 boys that were maybe 10 and 12. They were totally humiliated. Before the set was over, thankfully she was asked to leave.

I don’t know why I’m telling you my sob story except that I used to love going to see live shows, but usually there is someone there that just bugs the crap out of me. I always say, “I love humanity, it’s people I can’t stand”.

Dylan’s latest, “Tempest” is one you should listen to before the show. Also, “Love and Theft”. And “Together Through Life”. And “Time Out Of Mind”. Oh, yeah,” Modern Times”. Pretty much everything he did after 1997.

You have a lot of homework. Get to it.
