Speaking of “programmers beware,” I just learned, just yesterday, that Sarbannes-Oxley prohibits me (as an employee of a publicly-traded company) from moving code I’ve written onto production web servers. Legally, somebody else has to deploy it for me.
So, don’t tell the CEO about those production updates I’ve made since 2002.
