Important Medical News

If you've been on antibiotics too long, the critters in your colon might not be up to the task of fighting off harmful competitors. You could get a nasty infection from a wee beastie that hates you and is using your vacant bowels as a love nest / poison factory. And then you'd be really sick. What would you do then ?

Well, you could drink someone else's liquefied shit.

Awesome!

Update: hopefully that's not what's in these cans.

Not funny, I’m currently on metronidazole for c-diff and giardia.

Hmmm…that’s probably more information than you wanted to know.

Here’s to a speedy recovery. *cheers*

I know a woman who came back from Africa with a case of giardia. It does not sound like fun. But she’s better now.

That’s where I got it. It wasn’t as bad for me as it was my wife, in fact the antibiotics are almost as bad (and what’s worse is – no drinking, although apparently sh!t cocktails are fine).

well, i think that settles the question of “do i ever want to go to Africa?”

Tazania and Zanzibar – water was supposedly safe(ish) on Zanazibar and we ended up brushing out teeth with it once or twice, which we shouldn’t have done.

We’ve been other places (both in Africa and elsewhere) where you couldn’t drink the water and had no problem.
