i couldn’t get into Sumday, but Sophtware Slump is awesome. just the right blend of quirky weirdness and solid melody.
was surprised to learn that these guys actually make the singles charts in the UK. i don’t think i’ve ever heard anything by them in the US – unless i was playing it.

Love, love, love that album. Its musical merits are sufficient, but the lyrical themes are particularly comforting to this corporate desk denizen.
Actually, that lyrical praise goes more to Sumday, but Sophtware Slump has a similar effect. It reminds me of Vonnegut — hopeless, but not serious.
