Netflix = 20% of Net Traffic

Netflix represents more than 20% of downstream Internet traffic during peak times in the U.S. -- and is heaviest in the primetime hours of 8 to 10 p.m., according to a new report from bandwidth management equipment vendor Sandvine.

    17 million subscribers, each of whom are probably paying close to $50/month for internet access comes out to way, way over half a billion dollars per month. Not to mention whatever Netflix themselves are paying, which I assume is quite a bit.
