Taughannock Falls

Taughannock is the highest falls east of the Rockies: well over 200 feet high. Taller than Niagra by 33 feet. It's just north of Ithaca, in the heart of NY wine country.

Having a hard time with the scale? Well, it's hard to see, but if you look in the lower-right corner of this last shot, there's a little observation platform almost obscured by the trees in the foreground. You can see the wall - it's about 4 feet high. There are people near the 'top' side of it - though they only show up here as a brownish smudge because they were so far away.

Rocked

Though they're nearly forgotten, these days, ya know who rocked, back in the day?

The J. Geils Band. That's who.

Give It To Me!

Or, were they lame wanna-be genre-crossers who never managed to capture the best of either soul or rock ? Beats me, I was 3 when that song came out. I like it now, though.

Lookin For A Love!

David Waldman:

It's truly been an amazing few weeks for the America, as we found out that GOP governors celebrate Father's Day with adultery, and July 4th by resigning from office.

Byebye dummy.
