GOP : Voter Registration Fraud? Let's Do It!

Orange County authorities are launching an investigation into possible voter registration fraud after a local newspaper reported over a hundred cases of voters being tricked into registering as Republicans by petitioners who asked them to sign petitions for, among other causes, legalizing pot.
...
In a lengthy investigation published earlier this month, the paper pointed to an $8 "bounty" offered by the California Republican Party for each new registration as a cause for the problems. It identified multiple petitioners who work for vendors "with ties to the California Republican Party." Back in 2006, a similar scandal led to the convictions of several petitioners.

It's like ACORN for assholes!

Cleek's Corollary To Godwin's Law

Proposed:

A mention of Hitler or Nazi's in any thread or post which is ostensibly about something else will inevitably elicit a reference (likely irrelevant) to Godwin's Law.

For example, this reader comment from an Andrew Sullivan post:

I have very mixed feelings about the Arizona anti-illegal-immigrant laws, but the comparison to the Nazi's "show me your papers" smacks of Godwin's law of citing Hitler in arguments. Arizona is trying to deal with real problems, created by people who broke existing, serious, democratically-created laws.

It's also a floor wax!

It wasn't long ago (5 months, in fact) that I told you about our purchase of the adorable little Roku device which allows us to stream movies from Netflix. Well...

Today I'm cruising around Amazon, looking at Blu-Ray players and I find this one (LG BD550) for $152. That's a lot cheaper than any of the players I saw the last time I looked. And it's not even the cheapest one on Amazon - it's more than twice the price of the cheapest I found. So that's cool.

It also does everything the Roku box does.

It sucks how electronic companies keep you from ever feeling satisfied.

Hey Rob, WTF

Republican Governors Pay Homage To Guy Fawkes.

The Republican Governors Association has embraced the symbolism of Fawkes, launching a rather striking website, RememberNovember.com, with a video that showcases far more Hollywood savvy than one can usually expect from Republicans. Again, the Fawkes tale has been twisted a bit. This time, President Obama plays the roll of King James, the Democratic leadership is Parliament, and the Republican Party represents the aggrieved Catholic mass.
