Your Own Worst Enemy

As a rising star in Hungary's far-right Jobbik Party, Csanad Szegedi was notorious for his incendiary comments on Jews: He accused them of "buying up" the country, railed about the "Jewishness" of the political elite and claimed Jews were desecrating national symbols.

Then came a revelation that knocked him off his perch as ultra-nationalist standard-bearer: Szegedi himself is a Jew.

Following weeks of Internet rumors, Szegedi acknowledged in June that his grandparents on his mother's side were Jews — making him one too under Jewish law, even though he doesn't practice the faith. His grandmother was an Auschwitz survivor and his grandfather a veteran of forced labor camps.

Since then, the 30-year-old has become a pariah in Jobbik and his political career is on the brink of collapse. He declined to be interviewed for this story.

Depths Of Depravity

At Breitbart's Big House Of You-Might-Want-To-See-A-Psychiatrist-About-This, John Nolte shrieks at passers-by from the attic window:

Pay special attention to the thoroughly disgusting sound effects. You can laugh and say it's just a joke, but through a war of inches, Hollywood continues its assault to define deviancy down and to normalize destructive behavior.

If you don't think there's an agenda behind this, you haven't been paying attention the last 40 years. And if you don't think that there are those who hold the levers of power in our popular culture that would like to remove the stigma from bestiality, you don't understand the depths of sexual depravity the human animal is capable of.

I used to laugh at loud at the term "slippery slope."

Then I grew up.

But I am at least old enough to remember when our culture wanted to protect a woman's dignity, not degrade women under the guise of "liberation" and "equality."

Oh yeah, baby, you've come a real long way.

Eh... so what's all this about, then?

Those Other Dates

"I know in your mind you can think of times when America was attacked. One is December 7th, that's Pearl Harbor day. The other is September 11th, and that's the day of the terrorist attack," Kelly said at a press conference on Capitol Hill. "I want you to remember August the 1st, 2012, the attack on our religious freedom. That is a day that will live in infamy, along with those other dates."

Say... what's this dimwitted demagogue blathering on about, anyway?

Today's the day that new rules go into effect requiring most insurance plans to cover contraception - even if that insurance plan is provided by an employer who has a personal objection against such things, and wants to impose his beliefs on his employees' health.

Pearl Harbor! 9/11! Never forget!
