- Bears - Everywhere. I'm a sucker for psychedelic indie pop. This isn't Belew's band, The Bears. This is a different band, Bears.
- Sidney Bechet - Muskrat Ramble. Not enough swing.
- Jack White - Three Women. I want to hear guitar, not keyboards!
- Sebadoh - Too Pure. Never got into them, but this is a good song.
- Death Cab For Cutie - The New Year. Gah! The melodies! The hooks!

Thanks for the throwback with Bears. That summer (I can’t believe it was 8 years ago) was the Summer of Bears in Cleveland. They were opening for everyone, and playing out a lot. Then, like summer, they were gone (not really gone, but certainly not as active).
