BJ Pie Filter Fix

Yesterday's BJ Pie Filter update had a bug: it would break all the comment editing buttons (the block-quote, bold, italics, link toolbar above the comment box).

This has been fixed.

if you want the new version, you’ll need to install it over top of your old one.

and, you’ll have to add your targets to the new version. to do that, you can either edit the file as before, or you can add your targets one at a time with the fancy new button, right from the BJ comment page – no editing involved.

also, if you add targets with the button, they’re stored in your FireFox configuration data, not in the script itself. so you won’t see them in there, if you end up adding people to the script directly.

      you can use both methods.

I downloaded the pie filter for the second time a few days ago but once again it does not run. Well that’s not totally correct. The buttons are below the comment box but how do I add someone? I tried adding them by using the reply button and clicking add. That’s not right. I tried by selecting their name in the contact box and clicking add. No luck.
Is it me? Or is it possible that some configuration of anti-virus, ad blocker, configuration, etc. it blocking the script?

to add someone, select their name anywhere on the page except the comment box (a comment header, for example), then while the text is selected, click the ‘add’ button. the filter will prompt to confirm.

“is it possible that some configuration of anti-virus, ad blocker, configuration, etc. it blocking the script?”

i don’t think you’d even get to see the buttons, if something was blocking scripts.

Thanks. I knew it had to be easy. Maybe too easy for my addled old brain. That’s it, it was too easy, yeah too easy.
        BTW works great!

nah. i can see how it’s confusing.

i’ve been meaning to add some better hover text to those buttons, maybe explain what they do a little better. or maybe add a ‘help’ button…
