Boring
As sometimes happens, a poetry thread springs up somewhere and I write something, and then I want to preserve it. Thus:
Accountants! To your ledgers!
Mr Laffer has a curve.
And this grand curve does measure
How large a pile you deserve.
While Uncle Sam would increase
What he takes and what he spends,
You can see ‘tis less he needs
And yet thereby more he gets!
So, let us pocket the gross.
Hold our own bright gold tight!
Yet will Uncle Sam’s pile grow
With a bounty infinite!

didn't claim it was good. your own damn fault for reading this far.
Sweet. I have found a useful way to preserve verses like this to be, to post them on my blog and also on the open threads at Making Light.
the poets on ML completely intimidate me. at least on BJ, i don’t have to worry about being compared to (people who at least could be) professionals! i do love reading them, though.
