Women: Be sexy and obey men

The Re-education Of The Female, by first-time author Dante Moore, advises women to follow their man's orders.

Despite the chauvinist opinions, copies have been flying off the shelves in the US.

One piece of advice reads: "Here's a little secret, ladies. Men never really ask for anything. They command. And believe me, what you won't do, ten broads around the corner will."

Mr Moore, a 33-year-old computer engineer, who has never married, continues: "The fatter you get, the more you decrease your potential single-man pool. Let me give you an example.

"When you go to the grocery store to shop, do you pick out the nastiest-looking, most rotten, smelliest fruit or meat you can find?

"Oh you don't? Why not? It's the same with men when they see baby-elephant-sized, out-of-shape women."

There aren't enough other ways for women to get that message that they need to pay a geek to insult them with it ?

Nuh Uh

John Cole's usually right on. But this time... not so much. About the contrast between the Democratic convention and the upcoming GOP convention, and how the media will treat it:

First, we know for a fact that the GOP, unlike the Democrats, will not be able to control themselves. They will launch attack after attack at Obama, and try to destroy him. It will fail, and they will get savaged in the media, who were all present at the DNC. The best thing about the babble all through the Democratic convention is that they will feel duty bound to do the same during the RNC, and they will be shocked and taken aback by the viciousness of the GOP. Bank on it.

Bank on this:

The media is going to be doing all their reporting with one hand, while the other tends to the giant boners they're going to have from listening to all the manly men tell their manly war stories. They're going to swoon at the manliness of McCain and his manly time in Hanoi 40 years ago; they'll gasp in ecstasy at the toughness of the GOP's drunken-rage approach to everything; they'll clutch their junk when Rudy tells his story of 9/11© again; they'll shudder and ache with anticipation when the manliest VP ever strides across the techno-fascist stage and promises to personally kill, skin, and eat each and every liberal who refuses to Support The Troops™. Those attacks on Obama aren't going to be called "vicious", they're going to be called "tough". The media will wonder how Obama can possibly even continue his campaign in the face of such a display of manly toughness.

It's gonna be a sad week, watching the media pleasure themselves while they mistake machismo for competence, but it won't be a surprise.
