Wisdom from coastal North Carolina
When you park your car at the hotel, check to make sure you're not on or near an anthill. And if you do park on one, you'd better hope you don't have any derelict starlight mints hiding under your seats. A three hour drive back home with a car full of little black ants is a total drag. It would be much more of a drag if they were fire ants.
And here's some related wisdom from rural Minnesota.
Free Music
Nine Inch Nails is letting people download their new record, for free. Such nice boys.
And here is a bunch of free stuff from bands playing at the Glastonbury Festival.
And here is the new record from Girl Talk, as a name-your-price download. It's quite an impressive feat of sample-mashing, but I have a hard time finding a use for it beyond playing Name That Tune.

Cold Boot Data Latency
Think your computer's memory goes blank as soon as you turn it off, and that nobody could ever gain access to your data if you use an encrypted disk scheme (bitLocker, etc.) ?
