Cris February 2, 2012 at 12:24 pm I just checked out this location on Google Earth, and I’m amazed at how much development is nearby. It looks like some remote canyon in the middle of Yellowstone Park, but in fact you’re three miles from the heart of bustling downtown Trumansburg. Also, too: nice sedimentation layering.
cleek February 2, 2012 at 1:44 pm “bustling downtown Trumansburg.” heh. pop 1700. but they have a nice little music fest there in the summer. Ithaca’s a pretty cool place. it’s no Yellowstone, but there are lots of falls and gorges and lakes in the area. That’s Ithaca Falls, right off the Cornell campus.
Awesome.
