    i was thinking the same thing. which is odd, since i do have a fair number of Smiths records.

    speaking of… The The’s “Mind Bomb” album is one of my favorites of the era (the 1989 era). and i just realized yesterday that Johnny Marr was in that band at that time. i guess that explains why i always loved the guitar parts.

    Here are a couple of “Name that tune”s, if anybody feels like playing. My friend Rex recorded these off the radio in Paris in 91, the tape has been kicking around his possessions ever since and he wanted to find out who the bands are.

    The Animals (Particularly odd– the words to this come from the poem “The Animals” by W.S. Merwin. The singer sounds like a French guy trying to do Iggy, but a lot of French guys sound like that)
