What you got?

any lemur photos? did you get to hold one?
haven’t looked at what i got, yet. they were all behind fences so it was tough to get a good shot.
no, couldn’t touch em. they bite!
My non-random but randomly influenced playlist for this afternoon consists of:
bluesy old songs that follow a similar pattern to Robert Johnson’s “They’re Red Hot” (my 2000th post! or roughly)
Toonerville Trolley cartoons (debating w/Sylvia which is better, Toonerville or Toontown)
Toonerville Trolleyby the Electric Prunes
some other, better songs by the Electric Prunes.
…And the cover of “Word Up” by Deni Bonet, which is a truly awesome song. I’ll upload it later on but I must strongly advise you to putchase her new record, “The Last Girl on Earth,” which is her first record to actually sound like a proper record and boy does it ever!
(Oh and, happy birthday!)
Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday to you,
Squashed tomatoes and stew,
You look like a monkey,
And you live in a zoo!
You gonna make me send you the link to the youtube Joe Cocker Happy Birfday mashup, or are you gonna make this easy and go voluntarily?
So, in music news I see Thom Yorke has formed a new band. With Flea from RHCP!

I didn’t see that coming.
wow. that’s a strange pairing… ?
Exciting news for me … I’m coming to America baby! Portland and Seattle, probably some time in November. My wife is insanely jealous (it’s a business trip.)
I hear Portland is a pretty cool place, and Seattle looks to be worth a few days of my time… :)
awesome! those are both excellent places to visit. we had a blast when we did a Portland/Seattle trip a few years back.
Dude, happy (belated) birfday!
I’ve seen some YouTube videos of this gig and it looked pretty special.
