BTW I don’t get the shuffle algorithm on my sansa. It weights stuff I’ve listened to to the point where if I put a whole album on it, it only ever wants to play whatever song it found the first time through. I end up having to delete the song to get it to play a different cut.
iTunes shuffle seems to really like certain bands and totally avoid others, too. but i’m pretty sure that’s just my imagination; it really doesn’t have a huge dislike of Elliot Smith.
Mine only likes “Somebody I Used to Know” but not any other song.
