Monday Cat Blogging

Oh boy, there's a kitten in my house. Meet Tricksey:

Nikon D100, 28-80mm

She's still afraid to be in any room alone, and still searching corners and under furniture for her siblings and mom. But, she's the sweetest, most affectionate cat I've ever been around (which isn't a great number since I'm crazy allergic).

Here's hoping the allergy drugs can do the job!

she really is adorable. [not that we had anything to do with how she looks – we just picked her out] and, it’s hard to tell, but she’s really small – the runt of the litter.

if she can resist the urge to chew all the computer cables, we just might get to see her as an adult someday.

To keep the kitty cat from munching on your cables, apply some vicks vaporub on them. they hate the smell and will leave them alone. since that can ruin your cables, use sparingly.
good luck. I have to say that’s the cutest little kitty I’ve seen in a long time.

    Awwww… So CUTE!

A couple of cat-pointers: if you need to keep Kitty away from a particular place (like the computer cables), try mothballs – they smell really bad to cats (well, people too!), but have the advantage over Vicks that they are more portable, don’t ruin cables, and the little darling will eventually learn to keep away.
Also, if you’re allergic: 1) try Allegra 2) keep the cat well-combed (the allergens are mostly in the dander, not the fur).

we bought some “bitter apple” spray. that seems to keep her from chewing stuff – i think i need to spray my ankles.
