interesting. two oldies, one 90’s band, and a bunch of stuff i don’t know anything about.

we almost saw Bon Iver, when they opened for Wilco a few months ago. but we lingered too long in the parking lot with our beer and brats.

hey, just wanna say I’m enjoying Rob’s top 10.

I kinda fell out of the pop universe somewhere in the 80’s. Since then it’s been mostly jazz and whatever weird shite drumming leads me to.

Hanging out here is a big treat because y’all have been paying attention for the last couple of decades. It’s all good stuff. Cleek’s college of musical knowledge!!

Elbow and Portishead, especially, are knocking me out.

    Thanks!!

Yeh, that Portishead album is pretty special. If you like it then check out ‘In Rainbows’ by Radiohead – it’s a similar vibe.

And the Elbow album is superb – it’s taken them 4 albums to establish themselves as a world-class band, but they got there in the end. Friends of mine used to rave about them, but I didn’t ‘get’ their earlier stuff.

I just grabbed ‘TV on the Radio’ – I’ll report back if it’s any cop. :)
