Just one, a random one...
Cousin Joe Of New Orleans - Barefoot Boy
"Cousin Joe" (Pleasant Joseph) was a blues & jazz singer and pianist. He recorded a few records from the 70s through the 90s, and this is from his second, released in 74. It's a simple, no-nonsense piano blues tune, with a little guitar accompaniment. Nothing about it really blows me away; but it's solid. Pleasant, yes indeed.
I think the record is officially out of print. But, my dad sent his LP to me to transfer from vinyl to CD. So, I skimmed a copy ... for reference of course.
Anyone got a random song they'd like to talk about ?

Are we establishing our hipster cred with our favorite never-made-it-to-CD music? I submit for your approval the album “Nearly A Sin” (RCA, 1985) by the UK band One The Juggler…the sound could be described as “Hunky Dory”-era Bowie with a thick overlay of early-80s Haircut-100ish poseuring, but more relevant is that the songs are incredibly catchy. Well worth looking into if you haven’t already (there’s also a several OTJ videos on YouTube.)
I came across Tricky’s version of Black Steel the other day which I hadn’t heard in years. It’s fantastic.
