How many free insurance/real estate/travel agent calendars hang somewhere behind the counter ?
LHM’s theory is that all the local enterprises send a free calendar to the diner they patronize, or think their potential customers patronize. Three calendar restaurants are pretty common; six calendars is a very good score indeed.
that’s an awesome theory.
i don’t recall the calendars. but the whole back page of the menu is full of ads. and the place was chock-full of local small-business folk on a Friday lunch. plus, they have a beer & license. $4.00 burger and a house chardonnay!
