The much-hailed second FF album quietly shuffled off into the bargain bin too. They have been very quiet of late – not a murmur from the boys for a long time now. Great debut though I thought, just completely over-exposed – the Arctic Monkeys are facing the same problem right now – a second album is imminent but no-one seems to give a fuck, despite them having the fastest selling debut ever. I actually overheard someone at last years Reading festival quip “The Arctics are sooo 2005”.

    Cleek – not a bad list – 4, 5 and 6 especially. :)

I think th’ Arctic Monkeys just happen to have more friends than any band in history.

I think this is just how kids consume music now. “I already HAVE an Arctic Monkeys CD.” I think it’s been that way since th’ late ’90s. And I think bands sort of expect it now. I think a smart band would just change their name with each subsequent release.
