Still haven’t had any frost this November. In fact I’ve only scraped ice off the car once so far this winter and it was a very thin layer. Remarkably warm for this time of year and I think it’s going to break records come the end of the month. Still, we are using 30% of the gas (heating not petrol!) we were this time last year so the fuel bill is looking low.

I’ll third the nice weather. It was 15C here in Saturday which is just unheard of in Bergen. I just reserved my ticket to see Stan Ridgway this Saturday night. Didn’t even know he was going to be here until two days ago and the tiny club he is playing isn’t even sold out. This will be the fourth time I have seen Stan, always a good show.

    1. In Strict Confidence – Rain (German industrial)
    2. –
    3. Wall of Voodoo – Mexican Radio (wow, what are the odds?)
    4. 10,000 Maniacs – Eat for Two
    5. Shriekback – Devil’s Onions
    6. The Beatles – Paperback Writer
    7. The Sea & Cake – Sewing Machine
    8. Gang of Four – He’d Send in the Army
    9. Gordon Lightfoot – If You Could Read My Mind (I have this???)
    10. Jimmy Eat World – Praise Chorus

    Now for some music quiz…

      What was #2?

I’d also like to note that 3 of the 4 currently posted lists have a Beatles song, which makes me realize the disk I was shuffling off of has NO Beatles on it. How odd.

  3. The Modesto Kid

Have not fully come down yet from yesterday’s fantastic concert experience.

Moon Goin Down, the Rev. Gary Davis
Ain’t it a cryin shame, Blind Boy Fuller
Tropical Flesh Mandala, Robyn Hitchcock and the Egyptians
    Poor Boy, Ramblin Thomas
It’s a good little thing, Blind Willie McTell
    Kiss, Richard Thompson
My old cottage home, The Carter Family
    Odds and Ends, Mountain Station
    Betsy, Henry Reed
    Into It, Robyn Hitchcock

It is blues and old-time night down here at the shuffle algorithm.
