Wow. This is weird. The other night I was watching an episode of ‘6 Feet Under’ and there was a great song playing so I pulled out my phone and let Shazam work it’s magic.

The song was ‘Journey To The Centre Of Your Mind’ by The Amboy Dukes. Until that moment I had *never* heard of the band. I’d heard of Ted Nugent but thought he was dead (instead it seems he’s turned into a total wingnut.)

Any other Amboy Dukes material I should check out?

(But for relatedly great psychedelic hits I recommend the comp Nuggets: Original Artyfacts from the Psychedelic Era in all of its glory. There are many disks released under the Nuggets brand and they are all great.)
