Kelly Kelly Kelly Kelly
Kelly my darling, you are my sunshine;
When we're together I feel fine.
Your smile is so lovely; your hair is so clean;
You make me feel that the whole world is mine.
Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly,
Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, K-E-L-L-Y ...
Why?
Because you're...
Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly, Kelly...
The US Office of Special Counsel announced Tuesday that White House aide Kellyanne Conway violated the Hatch Act on two occasions by "advocating for and against candidates" in last year's Alabama Senate special election.
In a new report, the OSC special counsel, Henry Kerner, pointed to Conway's TV interviews conducted in her "official capacity" in November and December of last year. The agency said Conway "impermissibly mixed official government business with political views about candidates in the Alabama special election."
Regulate Me!
You will be shocked to learn that the benefits of government regulations far exceed the cost of those regulations. Or so says the OMB:
OMB gathered data and analysis on “major” federal regulations (those with $100 million or more in economic impact) between 2006 and 2016, a period that includes all of Obama’s administration, stopping just short of Trump’s. The final tally, reported in 2001 dollars:
- Aggregate benefits: $219 to $695 billion
- Aggregate costs: $59 to $88 billion
By even the most conservative estimate, the benefits of Obama’s regulations wildly outweighed the costs.
According to OMB — and to the federal agencies upon whose data OMB mostly relied — the core of the Trumpian case against Obama regulations, arguably the organizing principle of Trump’s administration, is false.

So sad
Revelation!
Did you know you can cook things in your oven? And that you can put them on a ... cookie sheetsheet pan? Even things that aren't cookies! Savory things! And did you know that some things might spatter the other things with their squirting, oozing juices while they cook next to each other? And that will be delicious?
No, I bet you fucking did not know that!
Of course, the article isn't about the cookie sheetsheet pan. Everyone knows about cooking on cookie sheetssheet pans. They have a whole separate article on that. No, this is about the magical quarter-sized cookie sheetsheet pan! Because sometimes you just don't have enough stuff to fill a full cookie sheetsheet pan: you only have some stuff. That's where the quarter-sized cookie sheetsheet pan comes in. It's smaller, you see. It only holds two pork chops, not eight. 1/4. Math.
And here's a secret even the pros at the NYT don't know about: if you have a toaster oven, you already have a quarter-sized cookie sheetsheet pan. That little baking tray that they give you? Well, it's a full-sized cookie sheetsheet pan in a toaster oven but a quarter-sized cookie sheetsheet pan in a full oven! *Boom* goes your mind. And if you don't have that, you might have some aluminum foil. And, if you can puzzle-out how to fold some edges onto the sides of a double-sheet of foil, you can make your own disposable cookie sheetsheet pan of any size you want!
These are the days of miracles and wonders.
Predictable
The shooting happened shortly after 9 a.m. Feb. 14 at the Faith City Mission, a faith-based outreach organization. Police said Joshua Len Jones, 35, of Amarillo, barged into a church building at Faith City Mission, pulled out a gun and was holding about 100 congregants and church staff hostage.
In the time between when police were dispatched and when officers arrived, a handful of churchgoers wrestled Jones to the ground. One of the congregants was able to grab Jones' gun.
Officers entered the building and saw the churchgoer holding the gun and opened fire, according to the Amarillo Police Department. The churchgoer was hospitalized in stable condition.
More guns would have prevented this.

Small Man, Big Mouth
Someone get Trump to the next school shooting in time to test this:
At the meeting, Mr. Trump slammed reports that deputies who were on the scene of the shooting did not enter Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.
"I really believe I'd run in there even if I didn't have a weapon," the president said.
The Border Exception
Reading this story about a guy who found a federal govt spycam on his land (then removed it, kept it and when they demand it back refused and sued them for being dicks), I found a mention of something called the "Border Exception" to the 4th Amendment. That's a loophole that Customs and Border Protection agency claims is real and which they claim lets them essentially ignore the 4th amendment if they're within 100 miles of the US border. That 100 mile strip would include 2/3s of all Americans - 80% if you consider international airports to be "borders". And, despite being slapped back several times by the court, the CPB hasn't stopped. They're still illegally stopping, searching and seizing and claiming that they're allowed to.
