I haven't been following the UK elections very closely (because I can't make much sense of it all), but I've seen a good bit of coverage. And, I must say, since one of the (now former-) PM candidates is named "Mr. Clegg", I've been surprised by the lack of smart-alecky references to Pink Floyd's "Corporal Clegg":
I hope it just that I've missed it, because this seems like a nice opportunity for jokes. Even if he doesn't have a wooden leg.

Unrest, the best little indiepop band of 1991 is getting back together for a quick tour. And they're coming to Chapel Hill, where I can watch them!
I never got to see them the first time around, though I did have a beer with lead singer Mark Robinson, while waiting for an Air Miami show to start.
This is excellent news.

I'm afraid nothing can be done. This is what happens when we fear something so much that we can't even have a conversation about it, when we refuse to do anything and allow fear to control the discussion - irrational fear of what pot does, and the cowardly fear of being demagogued as being soft on pot and on (the overextended catch-all phrase) "drugs" by people seeking political advantage. When we demand the use of unlimited force against things that we don't understand, then we suffer. Superstition ain't the way.
So, unless we allow ourselves as a country to acknowledge that marijuana is not evil, and is not worth committing violence over, this kind of thing will continue to happen, 40,000 times a year. But we won't acknowledge that. We are cowards.
First: The frozen version of California Pizza Kitchen's "Cheeseburger" pizza might be the worst thing I've ever eaten. The sauce tastes like a mixture of ketchup, mustard and pickle juice. It probably doesn't help that I don't like ketchup or mustard, but Mrs C, who does like those things, hated the pizza, too.
Second: Yo Gabba Gabba is the absolute best thing you can watch if you've been, errr... dancing with Mary Jane. It is absolute genius.
