Back when I was young and supple and could stand going to see bands in small smokey clubs, there was a band called \"Tugboat Annie\". I first saw them in Buffalo, where they opened a triple bill with Codeine and Pavement. They would play Rochester clubs from time to time, and I usually caught them when they came through. Then we moved to Albany and I got to see them there, too. I kindof remember playing that one of my bands played a show with them, once; but I could be mistaken. Anyway... Their first album, \"Superfriends\" (1995), was a constant in my CD player. I loved that album. <\/p>\n
I put it on while making dinner the other day, and happily I still liked it. So, for this week's Let's Listen To...<\/i>, here's my favorite song off that album: \"Butterlamb\" ! Awesome, huh ?<\/p>\n And while I was listening to that song, I realized that it reminded me of another song I used to love, lo these many years ago (and I was a little bit shocked that I'd never made the connection before).
