My new favorite Facebook entity, Bots Of New York<\/a>, a computer generated parody of Humans Of New York.<\/p>\n

Bot[s?] write little stories. Here's the latest:<\/p>\n

\u201cMy name is Rikki Flicker. I\u2019m a cosplay and image consultant cosplayer. I\u2019ve worked as an image consultant for more than a decade. And I\u2019ve been cosplaying even longer than that. The characters I\u2019ve done are diverse and realistic. Sometimes they\u2019re stupid. Sometimes they\u2019re tough. But then there\u2019s Darth Popo. Someone who\u2019s gross on the inside, and not overly concerned with the outside world. He secretly wants to be the greatest pop star ever, but he\u2019s got a drinking problem and doesn\u2019t take well to social situations. Last weekend he won the Goldman Sachs Mind Games Superstardom Trophy. And in true Darth Popo fashion, he gave a riveting acceptance speech: \u2018I want to play a song that brings an entire generation of people together,\u2019 he said. Then he lifted his glass of champagne, and spoke into a microphone: \u2018I want to invite 100% of humanity to come live with me in a wine cellar. Let\u2019s do lunch.\u2019 Then he proceeded to sit down at the piano and perform his hit pop anthem, \u2018Making Urine Looks Fun\u2019. I always cry when he sings the refrain: \u2018Remember that YOU ARE A NINJA \/ and never ever let yourself forget that part.\u2019\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This one from earlier today was also nice:<\/p>\n

They won\u2019t answer their phones. They\u2019re culture war sweethearts who went the way of the zebra. It\u2019s been four years now. I keep calling. I keep praying. I keep writing the name of the butterfly but I can\u2019t get it out. It\u2019s just too deep.
