I can't help but picture this guy:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/hassanchop.jpg\"><\/p>\n<p>You can hear it on <a href=\"http:\/\/play.rhapsody.com\/leonredbone\/doubletime\/sheikofaraby?didAutoplayBounce=true\">Rhapsody<\/a> - couldn't find his version on YouTube anywhere. Give it a listen.<\/p>\n<p>Is it borderline racist, or clearly racist ? Or am I finding racism where none exists ? Such heavy questions for such a silly song.<\/p>\n<p>But, it's an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.analogartsensemble.net\/2006\/02\/core.html\">old standard<\/a>, done by everyone from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=heDgQkAGBBc\">Rudolph Valentino<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hn0FXAFzFws\">The Beatles<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Jkqi7nfxqrE\">Django Reinhardt<\/a> to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ngUMA_aKmak\">Jo Ann Castle<\/a> (on the Lawrence Welk show). The Valentino version has a couple of verses about Winston Churchill getting beaten by Germany's planes...
