{"id":20829,"date":"2014-07-23T15:22:19","date_gmt":"2014-07-23T15:22:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ok-cleek.com\/blogs\/?p=20829"},"modified":"2014-07-23T20:31:34","modified_gmt":"2014-07-23T20:31:34","slug":"dont-let-your-meat-loaf-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ok-cleek.com\/blogs\/?p=20829","title":{"rendered":"Don't Let Your Meat Loaf"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I usually make meat loaf once every two weeks. <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Meat loaf mix from the store (beef, pork, veal ground together)\n<li>An egg\n<li>Bread crumbs\n<li>Some finely-diced garlic, onion & bell pepper, gently-sauteed to soften (since they otherwise won't have time to cook in some of the variations below)\n<li>A good squirt of Sriracha\n<li>Salt, pepper, etc..\n<\/ul>\n<p>Squish it all up. And now you have pink slime.<\/p>\n<p>Given a bowl of this squishy mess, I usually make one of the following:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>The classic: a big ol' loaf\n<li>Mini loaves cooked in a muffin pan. They're a handy serving size!\n<li>Micro loaves cooked in a mini-muffin pan. They're like little oddly-shaped meatballs.\n<li>Meatballs (hand-roll, fry, bake). Takes the most work, but frying them makes increases the yummy.\n<\/ol>\n<p>Wifey likes the smaller ones because they're easier to take to work - pop a handful of meatballs into a baggie and then you can eat them with your fingers! And, the little ones cook quicker. But it takes a lot of work to clean a muffin pan after meatloaf grease has caramelized all over it.<\/p>\n<p>But, the <i>best<\/i> thing to do with meatloaf mush is to shape it into patties and then grill it.
