That thing was at least four inches long. They have some serious jaws and will bite, if provoked. But a male like this has a hard time of it because the huge things sticking out of his face (his lady-grabbers) kinda get in the way.<\/p>\n<p>That was yesterday.<\/p>\n<p>Today, it rained a bit so I went down to the river to see if I could get any pics of the fog. I missed the fog. And as soon as I got down to the water, Mr. <strike>Water Moccasin<\/strike> Northern Watersnake swam up to say Hi.<\/p>\n<p class=wp-caption>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/images\/watermoccasin.jpg\"><br \/>\nNikon D90 18-105mm\n<\/p>\n<p>I immediately left.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nikon D90 70-300mm A male dobsonfly.
